Virtual World Building
Abstract Spaces and The Virtual Body | Unreal Engine and Houdini | 2022
The abstract spaces are a series of forms created by using procedural modeling tools in Houdini and rendered in Unreal Engine. These forms attempt to create experiences of space that may not be possible in the real world and can be explored via Virtual Reality Headsets. The project questions how the physical body experiences space differently than a virtual body. The physical body restricted in its experience where as the virtual body free from any constraints and influences of logic, science and physics.

Woman

Tethered Woman | Maya, zBrush, Houdini | 2022
A sculpture created using multiple 3D modeling software and 3D printing tools has the body of a faceless woman connected, constrained, and breaking free from a structure representing binary expectations attached to working women. Whether she is breaking free or is being held back by what is connected to her is open to interpretation. The structures symbolize the stereotypical and binary expectations of society from women which were further highlighted during the pandemic.

Truss Damage: Narratives In Real And Virtual Spaces 2016
Abstract
Truss Damage examines the trickle-down effect of negative aspects of certain restrictions a culture imposes on family systems. It is an exploration of experimental and interactive narratives formed within virtual and real spaces. My research and implementation includes creating multisensory experiences through immersive technologies. With the use of devices such as Microsoft’s Kinect controller, large LCD panels, and framed digital prints I am attempting to bring forth fragments of my past in order to create an interactive experience through movement and discovery.
